Overview


All Gas/VOC Sensor is a solid-state polymer gas sensor capable of comprehensively measuring a variety of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and multiple toxic gases. Its detection principle is based on solid-state polymer electrochemistry, which is similar to the traditional liquid-phase electrochemical reaction mechanism. Furthermore, the production process of its core components employs printing technology, substantially improving product consistency and yield.

Working Principle


Sensor consists of three electrodes: SE as the working electrode, CE as the counter electrode, and RE as the reference electrode. The reference electrode, which is connected to the working electrode, is a stable potential electrode that can accurately measure the potential and potential changes of the working electrode.

Purpose


The sensor typically operates in two primary application modes: firstly, comprehensive measurement, which refers to measuring the total amount of multiple toxic gases and volatile organic compounds. The gas concentration detected by the sensor represents the comprehensive concentration, and it is unable to distinguish the concentration value of each individual gas. Secondly, single measurement, which involves measuring the concentration of a single target gas within a specific environment (i.e., only one gas exists simultaneously in a certain environment).

Calibration


1. Calibration method for integrated measurements: The calibration gas used for the sensor's application in integrated measurements depends on the specific gas being measured and the purpose of the test.

1.1 Depending on which gas has the highest concentration in the gas mixture, the sensor is calibrated with the standard gas for that particular gas.

1.2 The sensor is calibrated with the standard gas for the most dangerous gas present in the gas mixture.

1.3 If there is a specific target gas that needs to be measured, the sensor is calibrated with the standard gas for that specific target gas.

1.4 If the above cannot be determined, the sensor may be calibrated using the 1:2 method with carbon monoxide gas to ensure sensitivity to most gases.
